American Notes: Stephen F. Austin
by awindram
STEPHEN F. AUSTIN: Known as the father of Texas for leading its colonization when he brought 300 families from the United States into the region. He died in 1836 after catching a severe cold in Columbia, Texas. Following his death, Austin’s doctor announced, “we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world’s first bionic man. Stephen F. Austin will be that man. Better than he was before. Better…stronger…faster.” Equipped with bionic hardware, Austin was to serve as Texas’s Ever-Victorious, Iron-Willed Commander for the next 250 years until the Reykjavik Protocol of 2083 saw his dismantling by a Sino-Russian force.
