62 long, dark nights for America: Strange bedfellows
Sixty-two long, dark nights to go.
Trump’s Daily Twitter Highlight: “Thank you to our fantastic veterans. The reviews and polls from almost everyone of my Commander-in-Chief presentation were great. Nice!”
Clinton’s Daily Twitter Highlight: “The worst part is, this isn’t the first time Donald Trump has praised Russia and Putin.”
Daily election article of interest: Pride and pain in Trump country: ‘We all grew up poor, but we had a community’
I found things of interest the above linked article even if it does go down the well-trodden cliches that UK papers like when dealing with an American election – rural, white voters, religion, the confederate flag. It’s similar with British elections, too, I guess, papers always seem intent on sending their reporters to a slate-skied, rundown seaside town where they can talk to befuddled pensioners trying to enjoy a walk on the pier.
Donald posted this photograph on his twitter account. I like to think he was paying homage to the scene in The Empire Strikes Back when Darth Vader kneels before the hologram of the Emperor.
Donald’s attempt to show off his adoration for a Republican icon such as Reagan had little effect on The Dallas Morning News who today, for the first time in 75 years, endorsed the Democratic candidate for President – this election is making strange bedfellows of all.
