Daily election article of interest: The Quiet Tragedy of Melania Trump
I am not sure I want to go down the rabbit hole that is the Trump allegations of sexual – partly because it seems to be a rabbit hole inhabited by a rabid, myxomatosis-infected rabbit.
As numerous accusations about Trump are published, the latest being a former contestant on The Apprentice, his immediate reaction is to play both victim (It’s all a great big media conspiracy. They wouldn’t do this to Obama. That sort of unhinged thinking leading him to opine the following – “why doesn’t some woman say what they say about me about him [Obama]?” and bully. Shamefully, tellingly, brazenly, bizarrely, disastrously, idiotically – pick whichever adverb you want – Trump’s response to Jessica Leeds’s claims that she was abused by Trump on a plane in 1979 is to claim that she would not be his first choice.
Perhaps Kellyanne Conway would be advised to literally muzzle her candidate. For all his demeaning of women as dogs, he would do well to be treated as one. A muzzled, spayed Trump tethered to a pole in the backyard would seemingly be a good bulwark of American democracy against his attacks.
